Being non-judgmental is good for you!
Why?
Well, for starters, recognizing and accepting differences in the way people think and act is necessary in order for people to get along.
Respecting each other’s differences creates peace. This doesn’t mean compromising, or being a doormat that goes along with the ideas of the other person. It means making the effort to understand the other’s point of view and expressing your own in a spirit of openness. In disagreements, it means finding the “win/win” solution, a new idea that will work for both of you.
Trusting each other, being open and accepting, may feel difficult at first, but with practice it gets easier and your relationships will grow in positive ways.
